I know I read that the common side effects are nausea and vomitting but i was under the assumprtion that this is a lower dose hormone than the Depo shot which i was on for over 2 years with no nausea at all LOL I started the patch last Sunday and Ive been sick to my stomach daily ever since and my boobs hurt LOL I never felt this with the Depo shot. Anyone else have similar symptoms?

Even if it's a "low" dose of hormones, it's still exogenous hormones. OCs are like AAS in that you don't know how your body will react until you actually take them, and even still, you may react differently over time.

Sorry I can't be of more help, I'm just saying that it's the par for the course. :)

Thanks Ceebs and thanks Lil K for bumping my thread.

Well, I was on DepoProvera for over 2 years and didnt like the side effect of NO SEX DRIVE WHATSOEVER. so i decided to switch to a low-dose birth control (in my mind i figured low-dose equals less sides). I never had any sides with Depo other than slight increase in appetite and no sex drive. (oh, and no period after one year which i loved)

I went right from the Depo to the OrthoEvra patch almost 3 weeks ago. First few days i noticed alot of nausea and then after first week i noticed bloating both of which continue currently. The nausea is no fun and the bloating of course sucks too.

The worst side effect to me thus far is that my boobies have gottent HYUGE!! I have gone up from a full C to now a near full D cup. My boobies are not only HYUGE but, they are hard and they are sore and they hurt to touch. Im hating this and Im hoping this will resolve itself over time (knowing full well that it might not)

Question: Has anyone else experienced similar sides with the Ortho Evra Patch? Im going to give this a full 3 months then I may just go back to the Depo Shot which i felt alot better on (believe it or not LOL)
