Does ephedra in any way keep you away from catabolism? I’m just curious as to how guys can take this stuff when cutting up and not lose heaps of muscle. I know you still have to eat, but it just kills my appetite when I take stimulants.

My problem is I have to put on 2k of fat to gain 2k of muscle and then lose 1k of muscle to lose 2k of fat. It’s like I take two steps forward and one step back. Is it possible to avoid this without gear? My diet is pretty clean, but if I don’t eat heaps I just don’t gain muscle.

Will ephedra help?

What about ephedra free Hydroxycut? I live in Australia and the customs people are nazis now with all the terrorism and shite.:banghead:

Two steps forward and one step back seems to be the norm for bodybuilders without gear. In reality, with very good diet and training you should be able to get that closer to 4 steps forward and 1 step back. Ephedra really only helps with controlling appetite while on a restricted diet. It's not an anticatabolic as such. Even worse is that both ephedrine and caffeine will increase insulin resistance, which makes them a bad thing to take if you are eating lots of carbs. I wouldn't recommend them for bulking. Save it for dieting.

Have you ever tried cycling your carbs to gain muscle? Something like higher carbs on training days, and lower on non-training days works well, or just cycle a couple of days higher carbs followed by a couple of days lower or no carbs.
