allright, since i've been inspired by so many transformations at strongchicks.com, i've decided to start a thread on mine. i took pics this morning and i will upload them tomorrow after work. this is my first "real time dieting" :) i am really excited. i've started about a week ago weighing around 189-190 pounds. so far i am around 185 but mainly lost water from my previous deca cycle. my goal is to drop 1-1.5 pounds of bodyfat a week. i've planned 16-20 weeks of dieting. so far i am actually having troubles eating my food since after that forcefeeding nightmare my appetite is ... yeah, where is it ??? :lol: i like it.
i am thankful for any kind of suggestions, advice and support :D

thank you so much girls, makes a big difference doing it with strongchicks and "guys" :) as back up, yeahhhhhaaaa...
so here are the pics from yesterday morning (05/01/05). i 'll give you my weight tomorrow, keep forgetting it first thing in the morning :(
my cureent diet looks like this :

meal 1
3/4 cup oatmeal
45-50 g protein (shake w/water)
1 tbs flax oil

meal 2
chickenbreast
1/2 cup brown rice (meas. when cooked)
1-2 cups broccoli :(

meal 3 same as 2 + 1 tbs flax

meal 4 (pre workout)
50 g whey protein
1/2-3/4 cup oatmeal

meal 5 same as 4

meal 6
45 g egg protein (shake)
1 tbs flax

at this point i am not going to crazy about total calories and exact measurements of the macro nutrients. i've ended my bulker about 2 1/2 weeks ago and right now it's the clean up phase. getting my body used to eating clean always.
as you can see i still have a lot of shakes, mainly because i can't get food down.
i train 5 days a week (weights) and i do 3 cardio sessions to begin with and those will only be for about 15 - 20 minutes. again, i have no deadline and 1.5 pounds a week is my goal.
at this point, thanks for following up :) i have to figure out a time frame yet of how often i will post pics... we'll see. :)

thanks ash... gosh, i am the worst judge. i always see a fat something starring back at me in the mirror. i tell her to go away but she just keeps starring at me lol :lol:

Yup, same here. Leaner than the last pics already. You've got great muscularity and a pleasing shape to start with. YOur transformation is going to be sick (and I mean that in a good way. :awink: )

guys, thank you so much for your posts. :) so i stepped on the scale today and i am 183 pounds. gotta check back on my diet again, don't want to looses to much to quick. i will be starting winny next week to help with muscle lost prevention (<-?). i am sure most of those pounds lost this week (around 5) came from water.

so, diet is coming along great. i don't wanna say it is easy... nothing is easy in this world ;) but it's doable :)
precooking can be a pain in the butt but... it's gonna save me later.
strength is still the same, i am not sure if i should give a training journal log example every now and then.
cardio is 15 min after weights, first a protein shake then the cardio. then the carbs :)
i just got my ephdrine hcl by mail and i will start tomorrow.

ok, i know i should kick the scale out but i need to weigh myself to adjust calories... (or maybe that's just an excuse :)
i was 181 this morning. weight is going down too quick. i am on winny so i shouldn't be too concerned about muscle loss. i do 15 min of HIIT cardio after weights and protein shake, i think i ll cut that out till later. any suggestions? or should i just be happy with the great loss :) ????

so, it's tuesday... had 2 days of low-mod carb days with yesterday depleting it all in a low carb, no exercise day.
today i will carb it up (in a controlled way :) ). i had 3 strawberries with 1 cup of oatmeal (instead of 3/4 cup)+protein+fat.
i won't change it too much, stay with my basic diet plan just eat more "clean" carbs, brown rice, oatmeal,... .
i feel really great so far and it's always good to hear something from people at the gym that notice your progress, even if it's little :) that keeps you going extra strong, he he.
now, i am using winny, it's good so far BUT yesterday when i injected, well, first the needle clocked (sp?) and then i bled like... bad :( that happened a few times now but funny, only on my left shoulder though. right is always fine, same with glutes (if i hit them cause pin is only 1' which i fear is too short for my boootay ;)
anyway, for those who follow my jounal: should i inject only in right shoulder? and glutes? any suggestions?

so, seems i had hit a plateau at around 180. i am going from 2200-2300 kcal to 2000. i am also experiencing with my carb and fat intake. protein always stays high. on my day off(monday) i will have very low carbs with higher fat intake. according to the other days workouts i will cycle my carbs having two higher carb days (around 200 g of carbs)and med days (120 g). i used to keep the fat intake the same on high carb days but i will give it a try now to keep em very low on those two days.
other then that, i haven't missed a meal. strength is still very hardcore ;), to me dieting feels very good. i am in control of my food and cravings. i love it. i am not sleepy and the eph. hcl kicks my butt :)
i will post progress pics soon. got some comments from peeps at the gym already and yes, it feels so good to fit in those shorts of mine again ;)

Amazone !! awsome work sister ... dont worry about the plateau (winny water ? ) maybe try increasing your water intake before you drop more cals ... one thing at a time and give the thermos time to work ...

sunday morning... 177.6 pounds. so that would be 2.4 pounds since last sunday. it's comming off a little bit too fast, i am afraid to loose to much muscle ?!?!?!?!? or shouldn't i be to concerned because of the winni?!

The scale right now is really gonna vary from day to day. That much I have learned in a short period of time...too many variables going on...water, high carb day, low carb day, etc.

Listen to the compliments, they are a true factor right now...that and the mirror.

You can see that you are thinning out in your pictures. Are you doing a bodyfat %. If you keep track of your bodyfat and your strength in the the gym you can usually tell if you are losing muskle or not.


Plus something else I noticed. I don't know if its your diet or "supplements" but your face looks really washed out ...almost smeared :lol: You may want to get that checked out !!

thinning indeed... as i said, i hope i am not loosing too much muscle. strength is still the same and here and then i even top a PR :lol: i miss the full look somehow. i am still eating like a horse :) every 2 1/2 hours and i feel so full after the first bite :D i LOVE it

now the thing about my face... mmmhh, i know i posted a pic in the members section so why blurr it ?! i don't know... i drank 2 gallons of water the day before maybe it just got washed away ? :wave:

i've been a swimmer since high school time and serious lifting i would say, 3-4 years ago. focusing 100% 24/7 on my goal to do a show... since this year :D

i believe in two sides ( :goodevil: ) in every creature. they are always battling against each other, no winner, no looser. more like the ying yang sign, equaling each other out. anyway, i symbolized those sides with the dragons. japanese dragons "were" good animals, they were supposed to be the protectors of humans. you know how the ying yang sign looks right? well, look at my dragons, if you see them as black and white parts, they form the sign (sort of ;) ). they fight over everything in life. those signs are three aspects out of millions but propaply being the ones that mean most to me: health, happiness and being different. to give you an example, let's say health... you see that donut on the plate, you're 10 weeks into dieting, 2 weeks out of a show. the one side tells you to stick to the plan while the other one is making you weak and cheatable. and whatever you choose to do, there can't be a winner cause the battle is on about somehting else already :D

i was 177.7 sunday morning and this morning i was 175.4 !!! i wish weight would come off a little bit slower though. i only do cardio twice a week, one 30 minute intervall and another 45 minutes on a different day (gaunlet ALWAYS included, yeahhhh, kicks my butt ;) )
i still lift the same weights as i used to while bulking up, so i really hope that i am not loosing too much muscle in this journey. i curb up the carbs on the last days of the week now, just to maintain the weight ?!

so... just to give you a quick intro to my weird stage kinda thing. i 've devided my diet into stage phases. today i completed stage 1. :) i lost a total of 13.5 pounds in the first five weeks. so two more stages and from then on the "real" thing will start :) peaking and tweaking :lol:
those pics are from this morning. i have to mention that all pics taken in the morning are BEFORE breakfast with a growling stomach, might make me look flat ?!?!
and yes TTTG, my face is blurred again... i just make those goofy faces, you guys don't wanna see that on a sunday ;)

instead of having my post workout meal being 1/2 cup oatmeal with shake i had 1/2 cup oatmeal, shake and 1 1/2 tbs all natural unsalted peanutbutter.
i am f#$%ing dying here because i am sooooo mad at myself. i was just so out of power and i have a big back workout coming up tonight. can please somebody respond and say "it's okay" and acutally meaning it too :bigcry: :help: :banghead:

when i have a plan, i stick to it, no buts or maybes. this was not planned so... ahhh. anyway, stepped on the scale and i was 172.4 pounds. so lost 3 pounds in the last 4 days. :lol: i forgive myself for last night.

so i was around 172.4 thursday morning... i kept the carbs, high to moderate just to maintain the weight till today. don't wanna loose too much to fast and the 3 pounds i dropped in the beginning of the week where enough ;)
no of course no cheating, same foods, just a little bit more "good" carbs and the right times. i'll post pics tomorrow morning. haven't taken them yet.

Your lats are amazing already, even at the higher bodyfat...and I do see a hint of abs poking thru. Excellent progress. Once your bodyfat drops just a tad more your back is going to look scary....ew, I can't wait. This is so much fun. :D

1/2 teaspoon ??? no no no... 1 1/2 TBS... just got back from the gym. added 20 mins cardio to make up for those calories. ahhh, i am so disappointed.

today is day 1 of week 8. feeling great so far and my knees are soooo thankful for the weight loss ;) i lost a total of 1.6 pounds last week on a 2200 calorie/day diet and two cardio sessions/wk.
i am now 171 pounds and i will go towards 2000 calories/ wk now and one more day of cardio. 1.5 pounds/wk is a MUST but no more then 2 pounds, so i did it. let's give it all for round #8 :)
here are some pics from yesterday. if anyone wonders where those bruises and redness are from... no, i 've not been abused, just a rough weekend training taekwondo :taekwondo: don't ask for a leg pic ;)

i am down 19 pounds... but the first 6 pounds or so must have been water weight because they came off the first week on 24oo calories/day :lol:
now that the weeks pass by it seems 1.5 pounds a week is terrific ;)

thanks for reading my journal :) i am glad if i can be an inspiration to others just like all the :sc:s on this board truly are mine :D this place smells like "true acception no matter how big or small you are". it's hard to find women around here that truly life for the sports, stand up for their opinion and lifing their dreams of becoming stronger and faster every day. i just love it here :D i am glad you're one of us
... oh yeahhh, the pb thing... :stickout: he he, i got over it eventually. but i am just so dedicated and focused right now, which is a good thing, that i sometimes forget that this is not a race against my body. i have to work with it so i guess that pb was a little extra gas in the tank to keep me moving faster and longer ;)
oh and btw, i smashed that pb jar after that event right in the trashbin :lol:
i bought a new one, it's in the fridge and if my day plan allows me to have it... i will behave :lol:

i always thought i am carb sensitive but right now i am having two high carb days and it working great :) i'll take pics tomorrow morning and post them. i have to get new shorts and stuff cause they're falling off :lol: it's great to feel that excitement when you get to that point where YOU see the changes and think "hey, this IS working !!!"

thank you... yeah, i better get used to smaller sizes (not that i really care ;) ) but... i don't wanna run around in baggies :awink:
yeah, strength is still the same. seems like i am beating my own PR's every now and then. :lol: and i feel i could rip out trees. now if i weren't such a looser (concerning my training journal) i'd be posting my workouts. i'm just tracking everything down in my eating, weights and cardio journal... awwww, i just can't make another "writting down number" thing... i have a lot of respect for the ones posting their journals regularily... i just can't :( well, at least i gave it a try. :D

Just one more person on the carb sensitive comment. :D I am finding that my mistake was not eating too much food, just the wrong kind. It's amazing how I can eat the carbs as long as I'm keeping the junk out. You are doing a wonderful job girl. I don't have a journal but I am leaning down for the first time since I started training and I am just getting used to the new eating so I am right with ya on that. Your progress is continual so you definitely have your stuff in check. :)

Good luck to you Amazone. I started my diet March 10th I found this web sight and it sure helped me learn what "eating clean" meant. I had no idea. I was weighing in at 142-145 and im only 5'1. Now Im 131! It's no longer a diet but a way of life.
My girlfriend and I used the same diet and we stayed in contact via IM's every day keeping each other in check. It actually made it so much easier to have support and someone to answer to. Keep up the good work!

We all hold fat in different places. I hear ya though - my g/f holds hers all in her lower body so she can have cuts in her upper body AND her abs and still not much in the legs. I'm lucky that I seem to have it evenly distributed but it's still annoying waiting and waiting. But you know this is a long term process, whether bulking or cutting. It's a great learning experience too. You are doing so well. I wish I had started at your age :)

weigh inn this morning-i know the scale is bull$#@% BUT i just had to, to adjust calories and stuff. anyway, i dropped another pounds since saturday which is for my goal coming off to fast. i was eating around 2100 calories a day and no cardio.
i will have a higher carb day today and wednesday. i will train back tonight and legs wednesday. cardio on both of these days. tuesday will be a moderate carb day (150-170g) and thursday will be low ( around 70 g). please any suggestions any time :)
i wonder if i should go back with the cardio to twice/wk. or maybe don't go too low on the carbs thursdays (day off). time to experience i guess. talk to ya later.

Wow, your progress is amazing! (I wish I had the same trouble of pants feeling too small... now that I am giving my leg days 100% effort, all my clothes are getting to tight in the thighs..... and natch, that is where I carry my fat!)

thank you so much TG. congrats on your weight loss btw :) i love to eat too but if you keep the diet clean, that's like 80% for me right there. i still eat a lot and every 2 1/2 hours. others would die to eat as much as we can for loosing weight ;) ahhh, it's good to have a good base of muscle right :sc:s :lol:
i totally understand what you mean by " i don't wanna look fat" :) my comp is not till the end of the year but i want to get closer to comp weight so my pre contest diet won't be too long and painful (it's still will be i guess )

mmmhhh, sappho just reminded me to not change things if they are working for you. the only reason i had two higher carbs this week so close by each other was the kinda rapid weight loss i had on the weekend. 1 pound sat+sund. so i wanted to give my body a boost and a "gift" :) this cylcing seems really well for me, i am not to hit a plateau too soon (weird english sentence :( )
anyway, the only way to find out, since we are all different is, to try and experiement with it. i usually have my high carb day AFTER my low carb day to refuel my glyc. stores. yams, brown rice and oatmeal ONLY. fat and protein low. good luck TG :D

I was thinking about changing the diet to try the high carb & low carb days, but I've given that up for now. The workout changed because I started working out with some powerlifters. I went from working out 5 days/week doing one body part/day (except combined bi's & tri's) to working out 3 or 4 days/week. They center their workouts around the 3 main powerlifts, so Monday we start with squats and end up training quads, hams, and calves. Then Wednesday we start with flat bench but end up training chest, shoulders and tri's. Friday we start with deadlifts and also train back. If we're not too tired on Friday, we finish off with training our biceps--if too tired, we come back in on Saturday and do biceps and abs. I was thinking about changing the diet to try the high carb & low carb days, but I've given that up for now. The workout changed because I started working out with some powerlifters. I went from working out 5 days/week doing one body part/day (except combined bi's & tri's) to working out 3 or 4 days/week. They center their workouts around the 3 main powerlifts, so Monday we start with squats and end up training quads, hams, and calves. Then Wednesday we start with flat bench but end up training chest, shoulders and tri's. Friday we start with deadlifts and also train back. If we're not too tired on Friday, we finish off with training our biceps--if too tired, we come back in on Saturday and do biceps and abs. TG, that is sooo great :) i am very happy for you that you get to train with them. :Deadlift: your plan sounds great and makes a lot of sense too
i start with DLs monday (back day), chest tuesday and legs (heavy squats, hack squats and lunges) wednesday.
thursday off. friday arms, saturday legs (light, leg ext., ham curls, calves) and sunday shoulders. abs twice a week. :D

allright, so people at the gym really start noticing my change so far and they wanna know how i eat, how i train (of course they ask if i use steroids) and so on.
i divide them into two groups: the "regular peeps" and the "hardcore peeps". here is what those two groups differ in: i tell them how i diet and this is what group number 1 says: aha... wow, i couldn't do that! what? you eat that every day? the same? you drink how much water?you weigh your food? you keep a food journal? ... and then they kinda just :Bolt: or they find a lame excuse for being somewhere else right that moment :lol:
group number 2: wow, interesting. tell me more about your carb cycling. do you plan the carbs around your workout or around the time of the day? ... they KNOW what i am talking about :)

^^thanks girls... i just changed my whole routine, getting two days of rest now. i am having a really hard time staying out of the gym, that's my problem. i hate my days off. :(
monday-am cardio, pm back ~180-190g
tuesday-off ~100-110g
wednesday-arms,abs ~150-160g
thursday-cardio+quads most intense workout, HCD ~250g
friday-off LCD ~ 90g
saturday-chest,calves+abs(supersetting) ~150g
sunday-shoulders, hams ~150g

"~...g" carb cycling for this week. 2000 calories/day. except thursday and monday slightly more (2200cal.).
i feel i am getting leaner although scale is not moving. but who listens to the scale anyway. i am trying hard to judge by the mirror :tounge:
let's see how it goes...

how wonderful... so as i said, scale was not moving. so i blasted up my carbs to actually 200 g yesterday and i've dropped a 1.2 pounds :)

i was kinda stuck for a while at around 163. here is what i changed last week:
-2 rest days (1 before)
-0.5 g carbs/ibs bodyweight for those two non training days
-i had two high carb days before but didn't go to high on those. this time i have one with around 230 g carbs and then another one with up to 300 g carbs.
-keeping a strict eye on rest time :)

sometimes it's the little things in life that make a BIG change :lol:

oh and btw, on monday, i deadlifted my PR: 310 pounds (straps, belt). after that i went home even though i had another exercise and abs left. i was DONE ;)

Yup mixed/alternating grip ;) I do the same, but I don't use straps anymore since I've found I get more forearm work that way (my biceps are a good size, but I have puny forearms :mad: )

nothing has improved my grip more than lifting with thickbars...OHP with a 2'' bar and doing deads with no straps on a trap-bar with 2'' handles. It makes a regular bar feel like no problemo. :lol: If any of you have access to a thickbar I def reccomend giving them a try.
