India News, Patna: A male goat in a remote village Patna has started yielding milk. The 6-year-old he-goat, which was initially brought to the village for sacrifice, gives around 1.5 kilograms of milk everyday and is also capable of reproduction. The Goat is now being considered as a divine intervention by the villagers.
"It's a strange goat. It gives milk and is also capable of reproduction. It has been sent to us by the god. It came from the jungle one day. The villagers are bathing him, feeding him and taking care of him," Shivraj Sharma, a villager, said.
The he-goat gives milk which villagers consider to be more nutritious than cow's milk.
"This he-goat is a wonder. We have never heard of such an animal. Its milk is of a very high quality, even better than a cow's," said Valmiki Sharma.
Goat milk is considered a nourishing drink with healing properties by many cultures.
Goat milk is a good source of protein and healthy fats, and contains important minerals such as calcium, magnesium, as well as numerous vitamins. It contains greater amount of vitamin A than cow's milk.
The phenomenon of the milking he-goat has not been scientifically examined but miracles are not uncommon in India. Some years ago, in several parts of the country people flocked temples with cups, bowls and sachets of milk as offerings to the Ganesha, believing that he was drinking milk.
