Ok, I know im being a sissy but flax oil makes me gag. So for the past few weeks I have been adding cold pressed olive oil to my vegies after they are cooked. I used 2 tablespoons a day. I think it is helping me loose weight. Does anyone here add fat like that? I really don't get fat anyother way. Chicken, chicken and more chicken.

I mix flax with red wine vinegar and various Mrs. Dash spices and make 'salad dressing' out of it. I've come to find I miss the flax flavor when I just eat it with vinegar and olive oil, or any other oil type dressings.

How much fat you want in your diet (ie grams) would be dependent on what ratios you are trying to maintain and what your caloric intake is.

OMG Im real blond today. Of course I knew the answer to this but what are the best ratios for cutting? Maybe that would have been the better question.

Didn't we use to be able to edit our posts and delete them?
Thanks BC for always being there for me. Im making good progress.

What are you doing now??? We've been through this before... there's no one cookie cutter diet BEST for everybody... it depends on our individual bodies. If you have been making good progress, when you look back at yer logs, where's yer fat intake been? Calories? What are your current ratios... especially while you've been making progress.

Also... SOME fat is better than NO fat... and if you were chicken chicken chicken every day, yer fat intake was very low. Fat doesnt necessarily become fat... you MUST have some fat in yer diet in order to loose fat.

I get my fats from egg yolks, natty peanut butter, olive oil, fish oil caps, cottage cheese (1%, so not a lot there), and salmon. Sometimes red meat and cheese as well. I pour olive oil (about a tsp or two at a time) on after I've cooked my veggies for two or three meals a day also. Love olive oil! Avocados, coconut, nut butters (not just peanut - cashew, almond, etc.) and other oils are also good (peanut, walnut, etc.)

I think I usually get in 50-60g of fat per day, higher on low carb days. I add a bit more fat to make up for the decreased carbs and to avoid starvation, lol.

Get your fats from a variety of sources, and make sure you get some saturated, some monounsaturated, and some polyunsaturated. Try to split your intake evenly.

I wish more people understood that eating fat does not make you fat!

When I'm really serious about cleaning up my diet & training I go with CapTri from Parrillo Performance. I use probably 3-4 tablespoons a day....specifically over orange roughy, baked potatoes & brussel sprouts.

My girl got ahold of my computer for a few minutes. Hope everyone had a nice laugh. Seriosuly though, try to eat some fish sometimes. And, I throw olive oil in a ton of things that I cook with. Gives food a nice flavor.
