There was a study done at Tufts University in Boston. There was two groups of healthy men, young and old. The young group had an age range of 23-35 and the older group ranged from 66-78. They were either given a placebo or 1,000 IU of Vitamin E eevryday for three months. Muscle damage, oxidative stress, and inflammation all continued to occur after intense exercise, but the people who took the Vitamin E were shown to have a great reduction in all of the above.

graf,
It has been proven that antioxidants assist in the repair of muscles. Vitamin E is an antioxidant and vitamin C is an antioxidant. There are antioxidants that are 50x more powerful than vitamin C and 20x more powerful than vitamin E. They are grape seen extract, bilberry extract, red wine extract, and pine bark extract. There are supplements with these ingredients out there, but make sure it's quality.

Good info to know, Graf and Php.
Thanks for sharing. :)
Another awesome anti-oxidant is Co-Q10. From all the reviews I've read on it, it seems to be on of the leading ones, however I have yet to try it. I've also found out then when I take vitamin E before tanning I don't burn as easily (which I have a bad problem with) but I also loose my tan after a couple of days if the vitamin E is continued without tanning.
