Valerian is awesome! If you have any kind of sleeping problems or are really stressed out and find it hard to relax, this may be your answer! Valerian is a sedative, and a good one at that! When choosing your Valerian, a water soluble form is best. And as with all sedatives, do not take this with conjunction of alcohol. I have taken this before and i do recommend it, it really does help with sleep. I recommend finding it in combination with Passion Flower, they work well together, as they are both sedatives.
Known Uses for Valerian:
acts as a sedative
improves circulation
reduces mucus from colds
good for anxiety and fatigue
high blood pressure
insomnia
irratable bowel syndrome
menstrual and muscle cramps
nervousness
pain
spasms
stress
ulcers
Enjoy! :)

Ummm... pretty good info about a bunch of stuff I'll probably never use (some I might), but couldn't you have just linked us to the site with all these instead of starting 20 threads here? You managed to bury the other discussion threads in this forum quite nicely...
:banghead: :(

Wow, I didn't really notice that until now. Those are buried quite deep.. Oh well atleast the other topics were buried with quality information, whether or not I use any of the things mentioned is another thing, but it should be helpful to some..

Seriously though, some good info here, but you don't see me going and posting 100 threads about random hormones I know about or anything just because "I typed it myself"... just tell people if they ask or if it's applicable to their questions IMPO...
I mean, c'mon now: Gravel root? Boswellia? Bilberry? WTF? Good to find out you must own a natural supplement store or something...
I'm just upset that the good supplement conversation (the point of forums last I checked) threads I and lots of other members were participating on in this forum which were here are now buried with these wacky herb info posts of yours... the good threads now won't be seen by newer users and have essentially died off because of you decided to bless us with these damn threads... I mean, if anyone has jumped up to go buy Boswellia based on reading your thread... please correct me here:eek:
If you have relavent info on more commonly used supps that normal people take (granted maybe 2 of those 20+ you posted might have a couple users on here), that may be useful though... whey, creatine, glucosamine, ALA, etc... but I'd still say wait until someone asks so as not to kinda ruin some good threads by pretty much burying them.... Come on now... lets keep this off the board.
I appreciate Graffix posts, the more quality info we have the better.

... I just said that I was enjoying all the good conversations on Myoplex, creatine, diet supps, aupplement experinces, etc that were here in this Supps forum (now relegated to pg 3 :( )... I almost wanted to go and bump at least some of them up over all these herb posts but I guess I'll just let others do that when they hopefully run across them.
I just think there's a bit of a problem when a forum's whole first page is virtually all threads started by one user that have 0 replies because they're pure info... if he really felt they are needed, why not just put up one/wk or something and let people who want the info run searches.. that way the conversations would have been unharmed since they wouldn't be buried... These are some great suppliments. And the multiple thread are a good way to wake up the discussion. Valerian root DOES work. Not all brands are worth their sh*t. Take several 8x concentrate extract and see if you can hold your head straight. BTW Kava is also a great sleep aid, although it is touted as a mood elevator.
What's a good brand? I'm thinking of giving this stuff a try.

Honestly, I have to chime in here and agree that though the info is right it may be a tad much. Put all your supps together and just make a post called supps, and put it all in there so whoever wants to see it can. No flaming intended. I dont know if anyone has said anything negative about all the post before, so if not sorry if you feel like we are attacking you, I definetely dont mean to come across that way. But lets all make sure that all the serious questions get answered when posted, thats why we are all here.
