Forum Posting Rules - Full Descriptions:
No flaming (including: racial/sexual/religious/medical slurs)
"Flaming" basically means "insulting". So, posting something insulting directed at another member or group of members is a no-no.
Insulting people based on their race or using racist words such as a derogatory term is not acceptable here.
Insulting people based on their sexual preferences or using words such as "gay" or "fag" (etc) as derogatory terms is not acceptable here.
Insulting people or using derogatory terms based on religious beliefs is not acceptable here.
Insulting people based on their medical problems is not acceptable here.
No spamming (including: unnecessary single-word posts; intentional double
posts)
Spamming basically means useless or unwanted posting, such as repeatedly making off-topic replies; posting excessively about the same thing (eg: asking people to visit your site),
persistently making one-word replies, replying to your own posts or making multiple polls in a single forum in one day.
No trolling
Trolling basically means "posting a controversial point of view with the intent of causing an argument", in this case a good example would be someone going along to one of the Biker Forums and posting something like "Harley's suck!" - it is not only unproductive but is also likely to start an argument.
No porn/adult content (be it text or graphics)
There are people of all ages at these forums, and as such this kind of material is strongly discouraged. If you're looking for adult/pornographic content I suggest you go elsewhere for it. Nude pictures (be they photographic or otherwise) may not be posted, nor may descriptions of sexual acts.
Try to keep swearing to a minimum
Another fairly obvious one - I don't expect to see members cussing every other word on a regular basis (occasional
outbursts may be understandable in certain situations). If you can't put together a
sentence without cussing, perhaps you could pay a visit to dictionary.com to expand your vocabulary.
Only one account per member and one member per account
Each member may only have one account at the forums, and should not share it with anyone else. If you have a friend who wants to post, they should make their own account. If you want to change your account name, contact an Admin and they'll be happy to change it for you.
Discussion is encouraged - blatant arguing is not
If you're going to get heated about an issue, be sure to remain polite and civil. If it turns into a bashing war or flame fest, the topic will be locked and those involved will be subject to punishment. Keep it clean and respectful of those involved, please.
Take heed of what the moderators and admins say
The mods and admins are here to try to keep the peace. If we see an argument brewing, a difficult situation or a rule
violation, we'll make the members involved aware of this and try to resolve the issue. If you're asked to stop arguing, stop. If you're told that you've broken a rule, re-read the rules and remember not to do it in future. We're not here to be a pain, we're here to try to keep things running smoothly and for that we require your co-operation.
